Raw Food Safe Handling

Raw pet food should be handled with the same care as other raw meat. Keep products frozen until ready to thaw in the refrigerator.

Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water before and after handling raw food. Clean and sanitize bowls, utensils and preparation surfaces after each use. Keep raw pet food separate from human food.

Once fully thawed, use within 72 hours. For smaller portions, food may be partially thawed in the refrigerator just enough to cut or portion, then promptly refreeze.
